Joe Chow is a Hong Kong-Australian percussionist. Having stumbled across Aisha Duo’s popular song Amanda on his Windows Vista computer at an early age, Joe has always been inspired by world percussion. Since then, he has ventured even further afield, and landed in the world of jazz with bongos, shakers and four-mallets in his hands. Joe has performed in ConArtist Jazz Orchestra, Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, West Side Story, Opera Orchestra and Ba Da Boom Percussion Ensemble at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
The group will be performing an eclectic selection of songs by Gary Burton, Chick Corea, Makoto Ozone, Milt Jackson, Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Baden Powell and more.
The Talent
The band features Joe Chow on vibraphone, Royce Jenner on guitar, Goran Gajic on double bass, Mark Davies on drum kit and Adelina Martinez on vocals.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Show starts at 7.30pm.
