Jazz Bar open 6.30pm-Late Tues & Wed, and 6.30pm-3am Thurs to Sat
Do you only have jazz music?
No. We also have funk, soul and blues music.
Is there a dress code?
Doo-Bop does not have a particular dress code. It’s just too hot in Queensland to bother about such things. Having said that, there are legislative requirements and we reserve the right to restrict entry according to these.
Is there a smoking area?
Does Doo-Bop have wheelchair access?
Yes! We have wheelchair access to both levels, as well as disabled and ambulant toilets. Access to the Doo-Bop Jazz Bar downstairs is made available through a dedicated elevator.
Is there parking?
Doo-Bop does not have a car park, however there are a number of parking options near by.

Where does the live jazz take place at Doo-Bop?
We have two stages:
- The Doo-Bop Piano Bar, located on ground level, with tapas-style dining and a Yamaha C7 grand piano on a small but robust stage; and
- Doo-Bop Jazz Bar downstairs which features a mouth-watering fully refurbished 1955 Steinway Model B grand piano and sizeable stage.
What are the show times?
Doors to Doo-Bop Jazz Bar downstairs in the basement open at 6.30pm on Tue to Sat with a show starting time of 8pm, This gives you plenty of time to order your meal and drinks, and find your seat for the show. Check out Doo-Bop Jazz Bar Events for more information.
Upstairs in the Piano Bar, live shows start from 6pm every Tuesday to Saturday. And they’re all free! Check out Doo Bop Piano Bar Events for more information.
Looking for late night jazz? Doo-Bop hosted jam sessions happen after the basement show on Thursdays 10.30pm-2.30am. All are welcome to attend. And what’s more, it’s free! Check out Doo Bop Late Night Jam Events.
And finally, Doo-Bop now has a new show called the Late-Night Groove Session, which will run from 10.30pm till late every Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are available on the door.
How do you see a show at Doo-Bop?
Doo-Bop Piano Bar shows are free, so just turn up! Find events at Doo Bop Piano Bar Events.
Doo-Bop Jazz Bar downstairs requires the purchase of tickets to ensure you have reserved a spot. Tickets can be purchased online from Doo Bop Jazz Bar Events or at the door (in limited numbers – see below).
Late night jam sessions are free! Entry from 10pm after every basement show
Are tickets available at the door?
Tickets are only available at the door if not sold out online.
If you are keen on seeing a particular live act, the best way is to purchase your tickets through our secure ticket-booking system on the event page. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
If I’ve paid for a ticket, does this include a table?
Tickets purchased with either a two-course dinner option or a tasting platter will have seating. Our General and Concession tickets mean you might have to stand if there aren’t any seats available on the night.
Can I get a refund on my tickets if I can’t make it to the show?
If you cancel your booking for an event, our policy is to only offer exchanges on tickets rather than refunds. Also, if you do cancel, you’ll need to inform us of your cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the event. If you inform us within 48 hours of the event, no exchanges will ordinarily be possible, unless there are exceptional circumstances
Can children under 18 see a show?
Yes, there is no age limit at Doo-Bop. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How do you get a gig at the Doo-Bop Jazz Bar?
We are always looking for jazz talent – whether it’s local, inter-state or international. Email a video of your live performance to firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact details and we will arrange for our people to speak with your people. OR – come and and show us what you’ve got. at a Late night jam.
Is there a photographic and / or videography policy?
Unless you have our permission as well as the permission of the performers, you are not allowed to record or take photos of a show.
Selfies (photos of yourself, not featuring the artist on stage) are okay as long as you tag us in them!
Can I make a group booking for a function?
You sure can! See our Doo-Bop Functions Packages
If you’re planning on a smaller group outing, it’s best to email us at email@example.com. We will then be in touch with you about the details of your group booking. Please don’t leave it to the last minute – we don’t want you to miss out!
Does Doo-Bop cater to food allergies and requirements?
We have several items on our menu which indicate whether a meal is gluten free and vegetarian. If you have a food allergy which isn’t indicated on our menu, please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly team and we can see what we can do for you.
