Where is Doo-Bop?

101 Edward Street, Brisbane City, situated between Charlotte and Mary Streets.

Is there parking?

Doo-Bop does not have a car park. Nearby parking options include:

What about public transport?

Train – Central Station is an 8 minute walk.

When is Doo-Bop open?

Sun – Closed
Mon – Closed
Tues: 6:00pm- 11:30pm
Wed:  6:00pm- 11:30pm
Thur:  5:30pm- 11:30pm
Fri:  5pm – 12/12:30am
Sat:  5pm – 1:30am

We have two levels:

The Basement

Doors to the Basement downstairs open at 6pm Fridays and Saturdays. Entry is usually free, other than for special ticketed events.

The Piano Bar

On Ground Level in the Piano Bar, we open at 5:30pm on weekdays, and 5pm on weekends.

Live shows start from 6pm Friday & Saturday, and 7:00pm every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. And they’re all free! Check out Doo Bop Piano Bar Events for more information.

Can children under 18 see a show?

Only children over 12 years are permitted entry until 10pm, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is for safety reasons, so your understanding and co-operation is appreciated.

Is there a dress code?

Doo-Bop does not have a particular dress code. It’s just too hot in Queensland to bother about such things. Having said that, there are legislative requirements and we reserve the right to restrict entry according to these.

Is there a smoking area?

No. Sorry.

Does Doo-Bop have wheelchair access?

Yes! We have wheelchair access to both levels, as well as disabled and ambulant toilets. Access is available through a dedicated elevator.

Who Tunes your Pianos?

Boyds – The Piano Shop is delighted to be a sponsor for piano tuning at The Doo-Bop Bar. A haven for piano lovers, with a large range of beautiful pianos available for sale, accompanied with personal service and honest advice.

Is there a photographic and / or videography policy?

Photography for personal use is fine. As long as you are not in anyone’s way, and you are using a small device such as your phone, you’re good. To be clear – if you start trying to set up tripods or anything bigger than an iPhone, you will be asked to leave. All professional photography and filming MUST have prior permission of the venue.

How do I make a booking?

Please note, we only take bookings for 6+ in our Piano Bar, and only before 8pm. If you have a group below 6pax, generally on a weeknight you are able to find a table, however on a weekend; we recommend you come in as early as possible to secure a spot.

We do not take bookings in The Basement- due to the many ticketed events we have per month.

Can I make a group booking for a function?

If you’re planning on a bigger group outing, it’s best to email us at manager@doo-bop.com.au

We will then be in touch with you about the details of your group booking. Please don’t leave it to the last minute – we don’t want you to miss out!

What is your refund policy for ticketed events?

As we are a small LIVE music venue; and with a significant proportion of the ticket sales sold going directly to the artists playing- Unfortunately we do not offer refunds.
