Is there parking?
Doo-Bop does not have a car park, however there are a number of parking options nearby.

Train – Central Station is an 8 minute walk.

Doors open and showtimes?
We have three levels:
Doors to the Basement downstairs open at 6.30pm on Tue to Sat with a show starting time of 8pm, This gives you plenty of time to find your seat for the show and order your meal and drinks. Check out our Basement Events Page for more information.
Late Sessions in the Basement Level are on every night after the main show, with Free Entry after 10pm. See our Late Sessions Event Page for details.
On Ground Level in the Piano Bar, we open at 10am! Live shows start from 6pm or 7pm every Tuesday to Saturday. And they’re all free! Check out Doo Bop Piano Bar Events for more information.
The Gatsby Room caters for special events, functions and bigger live music concerts. Live music in the Gatsby Room generally starts at 8pm, with doors open at 7pm. Check our Gatsby Room Events Page for details.
How do I get tickets?
Doo-Bop Piano Bar shows are free, so just turn up! Find events at Doo Bop Piano Bar Events.
Late night jam sessions are free! Entry from 10pm after every basement show
Are tickets available at the door?
Tickets are available at the door if not sold out online.
If you are keen on seeing a particular live act, the best way is to purchase your tickets through our secure ticket-booking system on the event page. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
If I’ve paid for a ticket, does this include a table?
Tickets for Basement shows purchased with dinner have seating guaranteed. Our General Admission tickets mean you might have to stand if there aren’t any seats available on the night.
Can I get a refund on my tickets if I can’t make it to the show?
If you cancel your booking for an event, our policy is to only offer exchanges on tickets rather than refunds. Also, if you do cancel, you’ll need to inform us of your cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the event. If you inform us within 48 hours of the event, no exchanges will ordinarily be possible, unless there are exceptional circumstances
Can children under 18 see a show?
Yes, there is no age limit at Doo-Bop. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How do you get a gig at the Doo-Bop Bar?
We are always looking for talent – whether it’s local, interstate or international. Email a video of your live performance to email@example.com with your contact details and we will arrange for our people to speak with your people. OR – come and and show us what you’ve got. at a Late night jam.
Do you only have jazz music?
No. We also have funk, soul and blues music.
Is there a dress code?
Doo-Bop does not have a particular dress code. It’s just too hot in Queensland to bother about such things. Having said that, there are legislative requirements and we reserve the right to restrict entry according to these.
Is there a smoking area?
Does Doo-Bop have wheelchair access?
Yes! We have wheelchair access to all three levels, as well as disabled and ambulant toilets. Access is available through a dedicated elevator.
Are you hiring?

Who Tunes your Pianos?

Is there a photographic and / or videography policy?
Unless you have our permission as well as the permission of the performers, you are not allowed to record or take photos of a show. Nice theory, eh? Impossible to enforce. So – in practice, so long as you are not in anyone’s way, and you are using a small device such as your phone, we don’t care.
Selfies (photos of yourself, not featuring the artist on stage) are okay as long as you tag us in them!
Can I make a group booking for a function?

Does Doo-Bop cater to food allergies and requirements?
We have several items on our menu which indicate whether a meal is gluten free and vegetarian. If you have a food allergy which isn’t indicated on our menu, please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly team and we can see what we can do for you.
