Two time MO award winner for performer of the year, and Bell award Hall of Fame inductee, Joe Chindamo has been at the forefront of Australian music for several decades now. Equally at home in both the jazz and classical worlds, he has performed all over the world at venues such as the Lincoln Centre, The Blue Note in NY, Tokyo Dome and Carnegie Hall.
A restless artist who is always propelling towards the next musical adventure, Chindamo has performed and recorded with many luminaries from the jazz world, including Billy Cobham, Ray Brown, with whom he recording his debut album A Brief History of Standard Time, Lee Konitz, Michael and Randy Brecker, Ravi Coltrane, Ernie Watts and Larry Coryell.
Experience this rare opportunity to hear this maverick artist perform his magic on tunes chosen from the American Song Book, Paul Simon, Burt Bacharach, Ennio Morricone and his own originals.
He is joined by his long time collaborator, bassist Brendan Clarke and guest drummer Joe Marchasalla.
