Event Details

Brisbane-based jazz singer Kelsey Giarola is excited to be making her inaugural performance at Brisbane’s newest Jazz Venue Doo-Bop Jazz Bar on Saturday 22 July. With the privilege of singing alongside some of Brisbane’s finest musicians, the Kelsey Giarola Quartet performs a wide range of songs and arrangements from across the jazz era as well as some of Kelsey’s own original works. If you haven’t heard this group before, come on down and check them out. They will be sure to have you dancing along by the end of the night!

Kelsey Giarola is one of Australia’s up and coming vocalists. Specialising in jazz, soul, funk, pop and self-original stylings, Kelsey continues to perform both nationally and internationally. Her most recent performances include singing alongside Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss, Australian jazz entrepreneur James Morrison and the USA’s own 4-part award winning vocal group the New York Voices. The past two years has seen Kelsey release her own Jazz Album titled Love Me Or Leave Me (2014), as well as working on releasing her next album consisting of her own original songs, two of which (Hurts To Feel This Good and 7 Days) were released live on National SBS Television for the Ethnic Business Awards in 2014. Her versatility and professionalism have allowed her to perform at many Festivals around Queensland including Brisbane International Jazz Festival (2014), Jumpers and Jazz in Warwick Festival (2014, 2015), G20 Global Flavours (2014), Broadbeach Jazz Festival (2014, 2015), Jazz in the City (Brisbane) (2014), and Teneriffe Festival (2012).
