Melbourne-based guitarist and composer Harry Tinney launches his debut album ‘K I N G S N A K E”.
Harry says of the record:
“This album is a distillation of my experiences living and playing music in Melbourne, Australia. Marking my fourth year in this city, I have found a group of like-minded peers to work with, and together we have developed these compositions into seven distinct narratives. The inspiration for the title track and album name is derived from a guitar I purchased whilst traveling in Japan, branded “K I N G S N A K E”.
“I wrote the majority of the album with the guitar, and used it exclusively for the recording. The instrument is unlacquered, thereby allowing the banded woodgrain to remain exposed. I’d like to think the character of this instrument and its vulnerability is reflected in our approach to this music.”
The night will feature a set of the compositions featured on the album, and a set of never-before heard compositions.
