Each member has decades of professional experience in all aspects of the music industry as musicians, entertainers, recording artists, teachers, backing/support acts to local, national and major stars, floorshows, and in television, radio and media. The ‘UPPBEATS’ is highly versatile and always fun, and is one of those rare groups, who are equally skilled performing Dixie, Swing, Modern Jazz, Latin, Rock, Pop and Country. The band’s focus is always on entertainment, with superb musicianship and humour.

Russell would be one of the most versatile guitarists in this country. He has a wealth of experience from working with many overseas and local artists of international standard including Chuck Berry, Jerry Lewis, Shirley Bassey, The Monkees, Pavarotti and local greats such as James Morrison and Don Burrows. PETER UPPMAN

Peter Uppman’s multi award-winning style is instantly recognisable, receiving accolade after accolade for his work as a world-class trumpeter, singer, songwriter and entertainer. A professional performer of more than 36 years, Peter has a massive repertoire encompassing all styles of jazz, rock, pop, country and Latin. He also possesses the unique ability to communicate with his audience, utilising humour combined with superb musicianship. Having worked with dozens of internationally renowned artists, Peter has also been featured multiple times on national television, radio and media publications, with several of his albums selling via major outlets worldwide.

JO HAWTHORNE

Jo is a highly skilled and sought after talent within Australia. She has worked with dozens of internationally acclaimed performers and possesses an extraordinary ability to play superb keyboard Bass as well as piano. An unrivaled lady of Boogie Woogie and early Jazz styles, yet equally accomplished performing all types of Jazz, Classical, Latin and Pop/Rock genres.

PAT ROBBINS

Pat has decades of professional experience as a drummer, vocalist, recording artist and teacher, and has performed/toured with many internationally acclaimed acts including John Farnham, Normie Rowe, John Rowles, Debbie Byrne, Wikkety Wak, Witz End and many others. He has appeared many times on television, performed on hundreds of advertising ‘jingles’, and has also worked as an actor, stand-up comedian and television newsreader.

JOHN CONLEY

John is a member of the renowned Jazz band ‘Galapagos Duck’. He has played and recorded with many local and international artists including: Winnifred Atwell. The Four Kinsmen. Errol Buddle. Col Nolan and is a highly sought-after and extremely accomplished musician.
