For many years now, the Chris Poulsen Trio has been Brisbane’s best-known ‘avant-groove’ combo. Having knocked-around with funk/fusion heavyweights like Snarky-Puppy, Yellowjackets, Mike Stern, and Cindy Blackman, the Chris Poulsen Trio have found their own slot on the groove-spectrum. Poulsen’s energetic piano trio will feature the bass-monster Jeremy O’Connor, and legendary drummer Terepai Richmond, carving up some hip Herbie Hancock vibes, Medeski madness, as well as their own original sounds for the soul.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Show starts at 7.30pm.
